Hi, I’m Karen Throckmorton NMLS ID 112668,
I am a Senior Mortgage Consultant at Gateway Bank Mortgage, located in Downtown Southport, North Carolina. I love this location, working with the local public and our many, many visitors. Prior to my move, I had been working in the same location with Platinum Home Mortgage for three years. My history in sales, customer service and accounting were the perfect skills I needed to make the move to the Mortgage Industry in 2005, which allowed me to work closer to home.
With Gateway Bank Mortgage I service clients with their residential mortgage needs from Maryland to Florida and all points in between including Virginia, North Carolina,South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee!
With Gateway, I have mortgage products to meet the specific needs of our county, including construction to perm loans for those who prefer to build instead of purchasing an existing home. In addition we have loan programs for primary, second, investment home and condominium purchases as well as refinances; USDA, FHA, VA, Renovation, Reverse, Conventional, Jumbo, Low Down Payment (primary homes) and Portfolio. For refinances we also provide for streamline refinances; VA IRRL, FHA Streamline and HARP.
At Gateway Bank Mortgage, we offer the highest level of service to each of our clients. As a direct lender we are able to offer the best interest rate and terms available, while never relinquishing control of the mortgage process from the initial application to the closing table. We pride ourselves in offering mortgage solutions to meet the individual needs and goals of each of our clients. From processing, to underwriting, to closing…your loan is handled IN HOUSE (this is the #1 reason why your transaction will be smooth and will close ON TIME).
As your Mortgage Consultant I am committed to being involved in every phase of the mortgage process, to serve your best interests and provide the optimal financial benefit. It is important to choose professionals that you can trust. I am available beyond “banker’s hours”.
